JACOBS MAKES HIS WAY down a lonely street. His body levitates as the fog keeps its distance from him. He sees buildings and hears rumbles, but continues to move forward. Never distracted as the path before him was made clear.

Occasionally a small beast would draw near but once they saw him they would run in fear. None of the large creatures ever came from the distance. Even as the tremors and howls from the distance grew nothing attacked him.

His glowing eyes would peer around every now and then. But his path was always straight forward. He found a few dead bodies but never stopped. There were times when he would look in dissatisfaction towards the corpses. But he would never stop moving.

On his path Jacobs saw a few survivors- a small family huddled together near a burnt house. A mother held her young son and daughter. They were covered in debris, and the children cry as blood soaked everywhere.

Looking Jacobs felt sympathy for them. And made his way over.

The children were scared as his body floated a few feet away.

“Do not fear. I am here to help.”

The mother looked up to him.

“Who are you?”

“My name is not important. What is important is that I have a mission to fulfill. If you wish to live follow me.”

She was reluctant as she held her children tight.

Jacobs starred for a moment. Then turned his back to leave.

“Die here with your children or follow me to live.”

He made his way back to the path he made. The mother noticed that there was no fog around him. And quickly grabbed her children’s arms and made her way to Jacobs.

They followed him, as he never turned his head. Only moving forward as others in the street saw him...
